This complete work consists of a custom hand painted cel from My Neighbor Totoro and as well as a hand painted background.

24 different colors were mixed by eye in order to achieve as natural colors to the reference as possible.
All outlines are inked using traditional methods rather than using the modern technique of xerography.
The background was painted using the archival Nicker Poster Color gouache and Japanese TMK muse paper.

Prior to shipping, all cels will be marked with my logo as shown in order to prevent any attempt to dupe them as original production cels.

All cels sold on my website are completely hand made by myself using traditional methods in order to represent the quality of the film as closely as possible.

Frames are unique and high-quality natural walnut or oak wood finished with a UV resistant tempered glass sheet and frame mat.

FAQ

When a piece is purchased, it is usually shipped out within a couple days. Due to processing and such, please be aware that shipping may take up to 4 weeks but usually is less. You will be provided with shipping information as soon as the product is dispatched.

The pieces are usually sold as a complete set, meaning the piece is carefully secured in a solid wood frame with strong tempered glass (which will be taped to prevent cel damage from glass breakage in the very unlikely event). The piece is subsequently placed in a frame box to keep it from moving inside the final shipping box. Any empty space in the box is filled with bubble wrap or paper.

In the very unlikely event that the piece is damaged during the shipping process, evidence of damage, such as videos or photos, will be required for insurance purposes. Due to the product being a custom hand-made product, I will personally reach out to discuss replacing or refunding the product.
